i’ve been writing for many years but i’m feeling burnt out with the online writing space and everywhere being saturated by ai. i tried medium but the place has turned into a swamp. substack is heading in the same direction. is there anywhere else? is there any point to posting writing online in this climate? i write for the love of it but most of it never leaves the piece of paper because of this.

very recently I started writing fanfiction as 'practice' lol I have been trying to post one chapter per day (they're around 2k words each and take me around 3/4h to be done counting rereading and editing and rewriting)

You can correct bad words. You can’t correct words you haven’t put on the page. Just write. It will manifest, it has no choice. You’ll find what you want, what you don’t want, and how you want to say it. If you’re stuck in your head, put it on the page! Great advice.

I’ve never written a book befor but I had a idea and I just started writing then took a brake but don’t have BIG goals right now my main goal is just to finished my singular book and I plan for it to be a one off not in this trilogy of books I have about 30k words at the moment

Stream of thought writing really helps with alot. When you look back you can see the difference in the quality of your writing. Both in grammar and vocabulary.

Im broke as a starving Artist, but I’m sticking to the free skills so I can get that routine down like an addiction. Thank you, I was doing morning pages and always felt bad when I couldn’t get three, now I’ve got permission to set a timer, and leave it when it’s done if need be.

I have two different ideas for different books. One is dystopian (post-apocalyptic world) and one is fantasy and an idea for fanfiction. And I'm having this urge to write them all at once but I can't do that. Especially that, first, English isn't my native language and secondly each one requires planning. Yet I really wanna see them written. I'm stuck!

I would like to be able to write one coherent paragraph where I don't get hung up on a word that I think should be spelt, like "gonna", wtf is that not valid, stupid squiggle line, oh wait that's because us/UK spelling setting, which do I want I don't know now. what was I suppose to write😕
