@ashleyfromsea: Idk what the real issue is with my shoulder but I know I’m sick of being in pain… I’m being dramatic by saying I’m getting it amputated 😬 but honestly I think it’s dislocated along with the tear. #shoulderpain #injury #chronicpain #fyp #foryoupage
did you do the exercises from the pt folks? I had frozen shoulder for over a year. it unlocked on its own, but there are exercises that will keep it from freezing again.

Go to an orthopedic. GET YOUR HORMONE LEVELS CHECKED! I can’t stress this enough. Low estrogen affects your joints. I had frozen shoulder and a few weeks after slapping the patch on pain quickly decreased and movement started coming back.

im no doctor, but what you're explaining sounds a lot like what I went through with my hip and I had a couple labrum tears. it hurts and it effects your ability to pick it up.

Frozen shoulder. I had a torn rotator cuff. Once they cut me open I had a torn labrum too. Don’t give up. Keep advocating. Get a good mri.

Lots of people think PT doesn’t do anything and it’s a waste of time. It’s not yes it is annoying and all the exercises seem like not doing anything but you have to keep doing them.

Have you had an MRI? Could be a labrum tear.

If it was dislocated, you wouldn’t be able to move your arm at all.

Any MRI? An xray wont show a tear but definitely consult an orthopedic doc. I had something similar it turned out to be small tear and ac joint arthritis

chiropractors don't know how to read x-rays or know how to do anything 😂

You look too young BUT it could be frozen shoulder! Typically happens to women in their 40’s & 50’s

sounds like you have a labrum tear which can cause so many issues especially if it also has a muscle tear

Also not sure how old you are but perimenopause can also make shoulder pain much worse “frozen shoulder” I see this a lot with my female patients

Stop going to chiropractor and find a sports medicine surgeon.

Okay, my husband had something crazy similar!!! His shoulder and arm hurt like insanely bad. Went to an orthopedist and they checked it and saw no issues but then the spine specialist stepped in and wanted films of his neck. It was his neck causing all the issues in his arms. He just had ACDF surgery for two herniated and compressed disks in his neck. His arm/shoulder pain was gone immediately after surgery. Long recovery but very very glad to be mostly pain free.

As a professional tennis player, have you seen an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in upper extremities? Have you had an MRI?

Are you in perimenopause? Frozen shoulder comes with it. I had it for 5 years. No relief of any sort because they couldn’t find anything wrong other than swelling. I woke up one day without it. Just gone. Good luck!!

I hurt my shoulder 5 years ago and I was told it wasn’t dislocated but I had severe pain for 18 months (!) and then one day I put my bra on in a weird way and that motion PUT MY SHOULDER BACK IN PLACE. It was wild. So… who knows! I totally sympathize with you.

Becca :
if you've got it nearby, go to an orthopedic/bone doc and/or a shoulder specialist bc an xray isn't going to show you soft tissue issues, it sounds like you need an MRI

Same. I’m a 45 year old black woman and one day woke up with an injured shoulder. Finally went to a orthopedic surgeon and first had x/rays then had an MRI yesterday (that was an experience, keep your eyes closed). I too am looking for answers as ai have lost range of motion and had to change how I sleep and even drive my car. It’s terrible. Wishing you luck as well.
