I love this idea so much. I write a note on my kids’ lunch napkins everyday. Last year, I got into the routine of writing a riddle on their napkin. My daughter being in 8th grade, I didn’t think she cared much for them so I stopped and after two days of no riddles she asked why I stopped. She told me she shared them with her friends at lunch every day and all the kids looked forward to hearing them. It’s a tradition that I now have to keep up. I love when our bigger kids love the little mom winks.

I baked my son his favorite cake on his first day of Kindergarten and have been doing it every year ever since. Such an easy way to to make them smile. He starts high school this fall 🥺

I always take off work for the first day of school to drop off and pick up at the gates. I also do it for the last day and take them out for froyo after. On their birthdays we take them to breakfast of their choice before school, or a fun dinner out.

We did this for my sons first day of prek. We also draw hearts on our palms so they can always press it when they are thinking or missing us.

Since I have a boy lol and he is going into kindergarten I was thinking of sewing something inside of his bagpack and then he can look at it or rub it or whatever he wants but he won’t get it taken away if he keeps messing with it and being a distraction or something 🤷🏼♀️

I started this with my girl her kindergarten year and she looks forward to it each year. I try to find a set of bracelets we’ve never had before. We’re still going strong with it this year for fifth grade. My little boy wanted to do something when he started kindergarten last year and I found pocket hugs! We all look forward to this tradition!
