So sorry I worked for an airline in customer service at the ticket counter and the gate. First of all American Airlines is known for this one rebooking people they never seem to do it right. In situations like this, please always remember that the customer service agent in front of you has been there many many many many many hours and has been dealing with lots of irate people to take it out on them when it actually has nothing to do with them they did not cause the mechanical issue they did not cause the weather. They did not cause the pilot to timeout, etc. Sunday I was at the airport for 16 hours due to weather and cancellations and diversions. These are terrible terrible days.
