please don't think it has to go on your child, as long as you have everything you need and they need it's fine we put ours on gas and electric as we are pre paid meter I have 2 children

Remember that you CB money is also there to help house, keep warm, bathe your child and send to childcare if you need to work. There are many ways to use the CB money to support your child. Never feel pressured to spend it solely on items like food and clothes when so many other things are also needed.

Im currently on maternity and my maternity pay from my job goes on bills and other stuff I need and if I need to top up my baby’s stuff but the cb money is literally a massive shop just on stuff for my child for the month

I have set up a separate account where I move the money when it comes in and just use the card whenever I buy essentials for my baby and toddler. Makes me feel less guilty about spending a fortune on raspberries at the shop
