@traininrascal: I found out my mom's central AC had stopped working in the middle of a 100 degree stretch, and her house was slowly getting hotter with no way to cool it down. That's honestly a little scary when you're not there to see it happening. So I grabbed this, no install, no waiting on a technician, just rolled it in and had it running in about 5 minutes. It's cooling her place better than her central air even was, and using less power to do it. She's got the remote so she's not messing with buttons on the unit, and a timer so she's not leaving it running all night by accident.
