I remember a few years ago, my little kid was hit by a guy riding his bike next his wife. My current wife completely snapped on the guy but I saw the look in his face. He was flabbergasted that he hit a child. I embraced his guilt and told my wife to calm down. I checked on my child, she wasn’t as hurt as much as that guy was, mentally. I smiled at him, like, you numb nuts. Because I could see myself doing the same and acting the same as he did in that moment. I somehow calm right down in the tensest of scenarios.
