@jackwatersonpt: 💜 100 Miles for Mam 💜 On 18th September, I'll be running 100 miles in memory of my gorgeous mam. That's 24 laps of the Derwent Walk in Gateshead, all to raise money for @tynesidewomenshealth—an incredible local charity currently supporting over 600 women struggling with their mental health. They have centres in Gateshead and Byker, so if you or someone you know is struggling, please don't suffer in silence. Reach out. There are people who genuinely want to help. If I'm honest, I wish I didn't have a reason to do this. Not because I don't want to raise money or make a difference, but because if my mam hadn't taken her own life, none of this would be our reality. But it is. So my mission now is to honour her by trying to make a difference in other people's lives. If sharing our story, raising awareness and raising money can help even one family avoid the pain we've lived through, then every mile will be worth it. I had the best mam in the world. She was my best friend, and I'll never love anyone the way I loved her. I miss her every single day, and I hope that by doing this, I'm making her proud. If anyone wants to come along and run a lap, walk a lap, or even just stand and chat for a bit, I'd love the company. Twenty-four laps are going to be torturous... But nothing will ever compare to losing my mam. If I can survive that, I can survive 100 miles.
