@cocolovemckenzi: What’s labour prep? 🤱 I think one of the biggest misunderstandings about labor prep is that people think movement alone is the goal. So a lot of women end up doing random bouncing on a yoga ball hoping their body magically “opens”. But labor is not just physical. It’s neurological too. Your body needs to learn: ✨ How to soften under intensity ✨ How to stop gripping ✨ How to breathe instead of brace ✨ How to stay connected to sensation without panicking immediately That’s why I care so much about pelvic floor relaxation work. Because a tight jaw, tight glutes, shallow breathing, and a constantly braced nervous system usually show up together. The body is connected. And labor asks the body to do something most of us are not practiced in: relaxing while something intense is happening. That’s why I love things like: ✨ Therapy ball work ✨ Pelvic movement ✨ Breathwork ✨ Glute shaking ✨ Lip flutter breathing ✨ Slow hip mobility Not because they “guarantee” an easier birth. But because they help teach your body: “I don’t need to fight this sensation immediately.” And honestly, that changes the way many women move through labor completely. Cocoooo help! My first babe was back to back which led to a very longgg and painful labour (still managed the unmedicated birth I dreamed of but dang it was hard!). Second babe seems to also constantly be OP no matter how much cat/cows and extended side lying I do. Any tip for me? positions or otherwise? 🫶 Thank you (and I love your content so much!)
