chefs do use non stick pans, main issue the coating doesn't last with constant use and when food is burnt badly they get damaged when cleaned with scourers

I’m a chef and I use nonstick pans. They have a place in line and home cooking, but I reach for a ss pan about 85% of the time.

As a professional chef, I can tell you plenty use them at home. Too expensive to replace with the heavy use in a commercial kitchen.

it fries one egg, sure, but the moment you add another that’s when it sticks 😂 fry anything else other than an egg and it WILL punish you with another pan you’d have to scrub clean
