curious to know if they’re doing NFP. i know protestants don’t necessarily prohibit contraceptions, but after coming back to Catholicism I understand why God wouldn’t want us to deliberately prevent the possibility for life based on our “timeline”. would love to hear her speak on this

Married 2020. We waited 6 years. And just now pregnant with our 1st baby. Definitely worth the wait. We got learn each other, travel, and work this important things before having a kid. Definitely would recommend, but I know everyone is different.

i believe having kids as soon as you marry is why a LOT of marriages nowadays fail, it gives you zero time to acclimate to married life with someone you promised to spend the rest of your days with, and adding kids to the mix just adds so much chaos

Contraceptives ARE NOT AGAINST THE BIBLE. Everyone trying to convince ya'll are wrong, family planning is the smartest thing you can do. Waiting to have children when you're financially stable and physically ready to have children is the ideal path for Christians. No its not going against God's will. Don't bring up Genesis 38, that situation has CONTEXT behind the verse.

We just passed one year with no birth control and are so glad we had that sacred year to learn how to be a good wife and husband without the responsibility of babies!
