If they don’t burn at a constant rate you can’t guarantee lightning it at both ends will mean it takes 30 minutes

thought of this.. but if they don't burn evenly....some part burn fast some slow..just the total is 60 min..

Light each rope at the same time, but for one rope you light it at both ends, 30 mins pass when it fully burns out, the second rope still has 30 mins left, so light the remaining side, it will burn out in 15 mins

if those two ropes are the same then burn only one rope, then remember with which speeds it was burning then get a medium rate, so now just calculate
