My brother is completely paralysed, can’t eat or talk. My dad will whisper to him and tell him jokes about me and they both look at me and piss themselves laughing. Everything else is gone but his sense of humour remains 🥹

Once my grandma was being tested for cognitive function bc she has dementia / was in the hospital and she answered every question wrong and I got all worried and she said “don’t worry I know those were all wrong but how am I supposed to have any fun in here”😂

I met a woman with severe dementia the other day. She couldn’t look at her husband and tell him his name, but she could answer my “what’s your husbands name?” And she could ALSO flip him off behind his back and wink at me. They’re usually still in there, somewhere ❤️
