We used to have a drop box for people to donate phones for dv survivors. People used to call all the time and say they accidentally dropped their iPhone in it. People can be real gross.

Son’s GF left her brand new iPhone at restaurant. Manager said no one found one. We’d just walked out and the GF ran back in within minutes. Table just cleaned. So the GF signed in on my iPhone to do the find my phone thing. We could hear the new iPhone going off in the kitchen. It was on a shelf. Manager never said anything just got hateful with us. They went out of business there not long after.

My last retail job a customer left their phone & I was able to get into the In Case of Emergency contact & call her mom's house. Except her very sweet mom or grandma that answered had a touch of dementia & did NOT understand what I was trying to tell her about the phone. Sure enough, 5 minutes later the phone lights up with a call from grandma! She did eventually get her phone back but it took a few calls...

Do you know how many times I’ve left my phone in a store? 😭 If I don’t have pockets I have to aggressively look at my phone every 5 minutes so I know I’ll remember where I left it cause 9 times out of 10 I’ll leave it 😅

When I used to work at a movie theater, if they had a lock on their phone we would have the person unlock the phone in front of us before they left with it to make sure it was them.

maybe this will also be my sign to get my life together too😂 (i feel like the customer on the daily). also this happened to me in the early 2000s with my i95 nextel. left it in a dressing room at pacsun. when i called, i heard the employees confirm they found the phone (because they never put me on hold), but the person who spoke to me said they found nothing. i assume it was sold and they split the money😭
