most our houses are completely unsecured. you just go to home depot and buy a couple sets of locks with the same number. anyone could just buy the same set you are and find where you live then wait awhile to just walk in

there are only about 50 different variations of keys.. with that in mind, you could grab any key and walk from door to door trying to open them .. and about 1 in 50 will open.

Until you realize that key probably works in thousands of doors. Most lock manufacturers only use a small percentage of the possible pin combinations.
