Unconditional love has nothing to do with fellowship. You can absolutely be packing your bags and agree to the fact that there has to be an ending and walk out the door and still love them as a child of God. I know it’s possible because I’ve done it. So I’m really getting tired of people trying to teach what Christ told us was the exact opposite when he said love your enemies. He didn’t say hang out with them. He didn’t say marry them he didn’t say defend their bad actions. I don’t know why we are really teaching this very toxic very conditional form of love.

That was my ex! He wanted non monogamy and I was supposed to be okay with it. He said it was unconditional love. After years of gaslighting and manipulation and therapies to try to give him that, he cheated again. I was supposed to be okay with that too.
