@offenceregister: Liam Clarke Crediton Paedophile and Rapist A 26-year sentence has been imposed on a rapist who deceived a girl into engaging in sexual intercourse by assuming the identity of a ghost. Exeter Crown Court heard that Liam Clarke exploited her fear of evil entities. Clarke, 35, of Crediton, Devon, was found guilty of four rapes, three assaults by penetration, sexual activity with a minor, and eight counts of indecency or indecent assault. Judge David Evans stated, "Your misconduct over the years was monstrous." The court was informed that Clarke's victim was terrified of the occult as a result of a negative experience during a Ouija board game. The 15-year-old girl was horrified by the strange noises he made at night, and he pushed notes under her bedroom door, claiming they were from the ghost. He then pretended to be the spirit and issued threats to the teenager, informing her that the sole method of eliminating the demon was to engage in sexual intercourse with him. Judge Evans stated during the sentencing of Clarke, "She stated that she did not wish to engage in sexual intercourse with you; however, you made numerous threats to her."You intentionally exploited her profound apprehension regarding ghosts and spirits. #LiamClarke #Crediton #offenderregister #sexoffenders #sexoffenderregister
