Easy they both look nearly the same. But „Lauchzwiebel“ (spring onion) is very thin around, the thickness of your pinkie. „Lauch“ also called „Porree“ (leek) is thicker and also longer. In general three times as thick as your thumb.

Lauch ist generell, Lauchzwiebeln dagegen wird nur das grün weiß Gemüse was jung Zwiebeln Pflanze ist genannt.

Mit Lauch ist meistens Porree gemeint. Die große grüne Stange 😉 Die Lauchzwiebel ist deutlich kleiner und milder im Geschmack. Jetzt habe ich mir aber ein Abendessen bei dir verdient, oder ? 😉
