This summer we have set a concious goal to lessen our screen consumption and this travel activity inspired by the book trend “ Blind Date with a Book” is a fun way to encourage kids not only to read more but use their creativity and imagination. Each book is wrapped with a set of materials and a small note describing the activity and/or book. I picked activities that were mess-free but encouraged kids to keep busy with bookmarks, stickers, printed tissue paper and a bonus Forky and Karen Beverly that hopped along for the ride.
