Well done you! You’re talking about a subject that many men would avoid. I’m sure this info will help so many 👏👏👏

I unfortunately am doubly incontinent. I have yet to find pads that are suitable. Most of them feel like a mattress between my legs. I have even tried men’s and turning them upside down so the widest part is at the back.

There’s a company called Mini Vivi and whilst they do make sanitary pads they also make things called interglutial pads that I used to use when I had a hole from an abscess and subsequent fistula. They’re similar to reusable cotton make up remover pads but the person Penny who makes them is 100% up for making custom shapes/sizes/absorbency, so it’s well worth looking her up. Because they can tuck between the cheeks they reduce things like soreness from leaking onto the skin and you can place them wherever you need.

I'm 32 and suffer from leakage and Overactive Bladder. Doctors say I'm too young. I've learnt that we should be open and talking about this. Thanks for talking about this and being so open.

I've previously used hand made cloth sanitary protection - could it be worth reaching out to somebody like that that could make you some specific to the area of your leakage.

I use cheeky pants period underwear for my endometriosis and love them. They are so comfortable. They do an incontinence boxer for men, may be worth having a look at https://www.cheekypants.com/mens-reusable-incontinence-pants.html ☺️

As these boxers come with a built in pad you may be able to attach a normal pad to them easier ( non winged ones) .so you get the protection at the back where it’s needed?

I know you don’t have a stoma but each hospital normally has a stoma team. Try and reach out to them as they may be able to assist in recommending products

I'd imagine they're great. Unfortunately the cost puts me off buying them for my disabled brother. He currently goes through 4/5 pairs of underwear a day, replacing that usage would be astronomical 🤦🏼‍♀️We've tried another brand previously and they're so stiff at the front he finds them uncomfortable

Have you tried hydrawear? They’re designed for HS but may be worth looking into. They include different styles with pads secured into them at different locations to help with wound exudate
