Yes I am very sure… some lecturers act like demigods and believe you don’t deserve an A even when you merit it. it’s even more painful when we don’t know the rubrics used to grade theoretical exams… our Nigerian education system needs to do better

Story of my life! The test score was 30 marks and I was very sure of what I wrote and when they released results on my portal is saw 10 so i was really surprised,then I went to meet the lecturer and she said there’s nothing she can do about it that I should go and prepare for exam but I stood still and requested for my script luckily for me i searched for my script and I saw 25 on it then I handed it over to her. She nw said she’s sorry,maybe it was when she was recording that she made a mistake blablabla.sometimes as a student be 100% sure of your work and you will be able to defend it that way.

Nigeria always make everything difficult. Thank God for my GSP lecturer who went and checked my scripts without getting triggered...that was how 12/100 was changed to 72/100. Show the student their scripts and dont be triggered. Prof Obe in UNN then always comes to the class with our scripts and make corrections. God bless him

normally you don't need to remark the paper again yourself, it should be handed to another person for thorough remaking and evaluation. The student already lost credibility in you and were very convinced they did aced that paper.

During my third year of university, I requested a remark on an exam where I answered every question; after my lecturer was questioned by his superior, I won the appeal and my grade was raised from a C to an A.

Here in the west , we review our results every time it’s released whenever a student isn’t satisfied with their results , even the course being taught by my uni vc … nah for Africa lecturers , head of departments and school vcs/ rectors Dey act like God

Naso, that yeye HOD dey threaten me😭😭. As old as I’m, they gave me 39 for Biochemistry wey be my favorite😂😂 he was even telling me they’ve never had it that bad in the department 😂😂because like 1/4 of the class failed. They remarked and I ended up with a 62.

If you are confident of what you wrote go and ask ooo I once got an F in my first semester 100 level but I was sure that I will definitely have B minimum and yes when they checked, I scored 69 for that practical 😂 Just be sure of what you are after

Yes l once challenged a lecturer in my 3rd year, Introduction to Political Research on the marks he awarded . He cautioned me that l should be careful of requesting a remark bcos he added 5 marks to every one’s grade, l had C+ but l truly know what l wrote so we went through together with his TAs guess what he didn’t add my IA marks 27/30. So yes ma if l am overly confident and bold of what l wrote l will request for it .☺️☺️l left his office so proud of myself, my grades changed from C+ to A on my MIS WEB PORTAL. Some of you lecturers do oversight when inputting grades so is just nice as lecturer to do your double checks 🌚. Humbly submitted ma. Thank you !!
