I hate that the final completely forgot that Mexico and Canada were also cohosts. Their anthems weren’t played, only the US’ even though that is not done in previous World Cup finals for host countries (unless they’re also competing in the final). It pisses me off that Sheinbaum and Carney couldn’t be there to represent their countries that also hosted the 2026 World Cup alongside the United States.

I think it was a mix of him grasping to Spains achievement and his dementia meaning he didn’t actually understand why he was there. At first I thought the dementia thing was just to mock him but as time goes on, how he carries himself and generally acts reminds me more and more of my father in law who’s dementia is rather progressed.
