All the valve stans defending themselves in the comments lmao 😭. Just buy games on GOG and get the offline installer, doesn’t need drm like steam and isn’t susceptible to change in company policy because it’s already on your device.

We need to be fighting for digital ownership, better fight in the long run. buy a game from steam, love it, burn it to a cd, Its yours. Begging Sony to continue disks is just short sighted, they want money, fine then, but we own what we purchase and we make the second hand market. Lets see how this lawsuit goes for Sony. I'm waiting with baited breath

but Zack in pc we have a lot of places to buy games. so no specific company holds pc gamers. but, Sony is only company that holds the game in playstation.

Steam is trustworthy, for now at least. Sony though? They've been proven not to care about our trust.

it's totally different. PC is an open source system. playstation is closed system.
if steam for some reason took a game from my account I can get it back one way on another but on playstation good luck getting anything back.

The biggest difference here is on steam If you don’t play your games for three years, they won’t remove them from your account.

Steam doesn't have a monopoly on PC games.
When PlayStation stops using disks, they'll monopolize games, and the only way to get them will be through the PS Store.

Plus gabe has stated in the pass if steam shut down for whatever reason he would remove the DRM for steam games so we can still play without need wifi to download them or worry about them removing them the only thing they would need to sort out with be multiplayer games which the stop killing games campaign is slowly fixing

There are more digital stores on PC than just Steam, granted it's probably the most used one but there are several nonetheless. Will digital PS content also be sold via multiple (online) stores?

I still want physical media I still one of them people that buy 1080P and 4K movies on disc. if I buy a 1000 movies on some streaming platform and they get rid of 100 movies I'm going to be pissed. yes I understand that disc can get scratched, damaged, be lost etc but take my risk with a disc. and my experience is if you buy a 1080P or 4K movie they give you a DVD and digital as a backup.
