Makes absolutely no sense because cameras are everywhere housekeeping isn’t going in your room and then taking all your stuff. Where are they putting it but it’s not gonna get picked up on the camera and you are right they can tell when the doors are open and closed so they could find out exactly who was in the room if any of that happened. Also, I work at a hotel and the amount of stuff that people leave laying around when we go into service rooms is crazy and if you don’t want service when you’re at a hotel, simply put your DND on the door or it’s all the desk when you’re checking in that you don’t want anyone in the room.

I found the number for the actual corporate building in VA . The woman let me know that this property is a franchise property managed by innventures IVI LLC . I’ve called them and left a message so we will see if that gets me anywhere .

No, shade whatsoever. I promise, but most hotels always put an incidental hold on your card. The amount varies.

I had something like this happen in Macon, Georgia. I was unable to get anyone to follow up with me after we left the hotel until I went on TripAdvisor and wrote a review about what happened (I had filed a police report as well immediately when it happened). Someone from corporate immediately contacted me and the issue was resolved. Very similar fact pattern.
