This happened to me everyday for a month when I was stationed in San Diego. I would walk to the base which was about 4 miles, the up part was that it was down hill most of the way. I wore civilian clothes to the base and had my uniform in a hand type bag. Well every morning I would get stopped by the same 4 or 5 officers. Their excuse for the stop was auto burglaries in the area. So every morning I would get frisked and my bag searched. They never did find any burgular tools but I did get cocky when one of the officers wanted to dump my white uniform on the ground. Told him like hell he would not let me place the uniform on my dress shoes.
