@readtheirmind: You can’t heal if you refuse to accept what happened. Healing doesn’t begin when the pain disappears. It begins the moment you stop running from it. Many people spend months or even years avoiding the truth. They stay busy. They distract themselves. They pretend they’re fine. But what you refuse to face will continue to follow you. Acceptance doesn’t mean you agree with what happened. It means you stop fighting reality. You acknowledge the pain. You allow yourself to grieve. And then, little by little, you begin moving forward instead of looking back. You don’t heal by escaping your pain. You heal by facing it with courage. Because the moment you accept what happened is the moment your healing finally begins. #realtalk #Relationship #RelationshipAdvice #Healing #Growth
Loosing my father hurts me alot,is like im carrying a weight that is too heavier for me,i cant accept that his gone for forever,i realy realy need time to heal without ppl telling me they know they pain,it will go away etc...i just want time to heal😭💔i was still hoping to see him when i go home from time to time😭God decided otherwise.

It's not even two months since my wife passed away... I'm still stuck in that last visiting hour 2hours before she passed away. Still see her eyes, beautiful blue turned grey.. When I kissed her on her forehead telling her I love her and will see her the next day on visiting time..... She shooked her head and I thought she was confused.... If I only knew two hours later they will call me and tell me she is gone... I say to everyone I'm OK and take it one day at a time.. But I know deep down I'm not ok

I got tired of surviving.
On August 29, 2026, I'll celebrate 20 years of sobriety. My healing journey as a Sixties Scoop survivor has spanned decades, and it continues every day.
I've lost 680 friends and family members that I'm aware of. I've lived through addiction, homelessness, trauma, and abuse. My story isn't the hardest—many people have endured even more.
People ask, "When do you know it's time to heal?"
For me, it wasn't some profound realization. I was simply exhausted. I was tired of living in pain, tired of carrying the weight of my past, and tired of pretending I could do it all on my own.
So I made one decision that changed my life: I admitted I needed help, and I asked for it.
Healing didn't erase my past. It gave me a future.
If you're wondering when it's time to begin, maybe it's when you're tired of merely surviving and finally decide you're worth fighting for. The first step isn't having all the answers. It's having the courage to ask for help.
