She’ll most likely retire after this and you know what.. I don’t blame her. So much pressure was placed on her and Lord knows what she’s been through that we don’t have visibility of. Taking a step back, focusing on her studies and giving her body and mind a much needed and well deserved rest is very smart

I imagine this is a soft launch for retirement, rather than her making the decision to go international with another coach. Her injury at the start of the year was likely far worse than anyone let on, Team Tutberidze have a history of downplaying the girls’ injuries so that they don’t appear weak and still “intimidate” the competition. Adeliia herself said she’s unsure “how much she’s allowed to say about it without approval from her coaches”. Rumours on telegram in Russian figure skating circles circulated too that at least one doctor said the injury was career ending. I’m devastated for her. Her biggest fear was that in the history of international figure skating, she would be a nobody. I hope she’s able to find a new goal that brings her even more joy and fulfilment.

So Adeliia enrolled at GITIS in the choreography department and planned to focus on her studies, and she also has not yet chosen a new coach and is focussed on solving health problems, she left Tutberidze and maybe in the future she’ll announce her new coach, everything was posted on her instagram account if yall want to check.
