So this is how it is, for the past three graduations 56,57 and 58th graduations Any student graduating with a non-clustered degree: MBChB, BPHARM, BScN, BScMLS and BScFS in the graduation list Booklet the all the names appear without the classification same with the Degree Certificates and Transcript. But on the Graduation Tribune Booklet all those students were actually listed as first class owners. Though the 59th graduation, the university did not place all the names on the the first class page on the Graduation Tribune, it only listed the students in Medicine who actually scored above 70 as their total GPA. I think the decision is made based on the total number of graduands who have a First class. it's purely for honours ,For Example if you take the 57th graduation you removed the Medicine and Pharmacy names the first class list is only a quarter a page

The categorisation is implied not stated on the certificate. One can look at the CGPA and the categories at the back and seeing which class it belongs

I was there in that graduation they just said the girl got the highest points in her class I think it was 77 points but they didn’t say first class.

That's the tribute book. on the graduation book with names of every graduating student medicine, nursing, Medical lab and pharmacy don't have first class. in the tribute book those under first class in medicine school are students with a 4.5 GPA, i think they should find another name other than 1st class to recognize them. Cause in the 58th graduation and the 56th graduation the valedictorians were from nursing.

Thats not true. KU doesn't classify medicine degrees. When you get that booklet, theres a page at the back dedicated for top performers in all disciplines and there GPA is considered the best. GPA of 4.5. They list them there for appreciation. My degree wasn't classified at all.
