Then obligation: "after everything I've done for you." Then guilt: "a good person wouldn't say no, you're selfish." Each layer is heavier than the last, until the fog is all you can feel. But fog isn't solid, it only looks that way. Separate their wish from their demand, name the pressure out loud, and remember "no" is a full sentence — every excuse is just a new handle for them to pull.
