Unpopular opinion, but this should not be encouraged. Especially with Rottweilers, who are prone to joint issues due to extra weight and just genetics, as well as how powerful they are. I have a Rottweiler and grew up with them and was always taught to respect the dog. At the end of the day, the dog is an animal and may act in unpredictable ways, no matter how well trained and family oriented they are.

Hey guys let’s remember toddlers are usually like 16-24 lbs. trust me if it hurt the dog he would tell the baby. Also notice how the baby got off? Obviously this isn’t happening all the time. Not your dog? Then mind your business.

For some saying it’s bad for his back, these dogs used to carry meat carts to the market every day. They were a butchers dog along with having other skill sets
