It can prevent colic. It’s not all about burping the baby. It’s about the risk of the baby swallowing air while feeding causing them painful trapped gas. When you burp the baby, not all the air is coming out and over time it can build up and cause discomfort because of how often they’re fed. The hate on this bottle is absolutely unnecessary.

It's amazing how these bottle companies can keep coming up with gimmicks that don't work. Baby's suck air when they eat, it happens with their mouth more than the bottle. That's why we burp them, no need to pay extra for useless crap someone came up with.
