As a therapist, these are my favorite sessions because it gives time for us to work together on the deep rooted things (childhood, relationship history, your parents, high school, etc.). Sometimes you don’t realize how much your current anxiety or mental health struggles are impacted from the things you aren’t talking about on a daily basis. Which sessions like this give space for us to connect dots. It’s also not the client’s responsibility to come in and always have something to talk about. If anything I always reassure my clients “we will always find something to talk about and it’s my job to help you get there” and 9 time out of 10, they are always the best sessions!

Hi Alex, I pray that you get this message!! I’ve made several videos for you on TikTok but I have not been able to publicly detail our situation! We are an active duty military family stationed in San Diego and my husband is currently deployed on the USS Lincoln to brief you, the USS Lincoln has been deployed for far longer than they were ever intended to and have no return date in site. He has not been able to go into port and they have ran out of food and toiletries. This deployment has left them all mentally at their lowest. You can read more about it online. Although we love the career my husband has chosen this deployment has left him empty and he’s attempted to take his own life due to the circumstances amongst their ship. I am due in 6 weeks and he will unfortunately not be home by then.
