It’s a wake up call for most, I remember when I was locked up this young kid came in, probably 19, I had to hear him getting assaulted like that in the same dorm just a few cubes down. It changed him, shit it changed me just hearing it. I was also 19 but we were different 19s if you know what I mean, he was young and dumb and I was seasoned in this shit so I could handle myself accordingly, that kid was taking everything offered to him not knowing prison law, it was bad man.
