This fight probably the last time Haixia can be willfully being himself fighting side by side with his Hailou, wishfully thinking did they still have any hope🥺 His eyes would clear up everytime Hailou is in the vicinity. But because of this very reason, the parasite went mad and frustrated coz it failed to break the trust between these two even after flaunting his murder to Hailou. The parasite cannot possessed the body completely, tho It ALMOST succeeded because even in front of Zhang Haiqi, the parasite's power could suppressed Haixia's consciousness completely, but it's a different story if it's Zhang Hailou. So after Xia zai went away to get Hailou a changing clothes, the parasite gain control of the body again and went on a killing spree, flaunting his murder to Hailou again and again. Actually, Haixia carried the antidote for the snake's poison on him right, the natural flows of event should be curing Hailou's eyes immediately so that Hailou can do things a lot easier such as changing his clothes. BUT Haixia decided otherwise, why? is it to kill people while Zhang Hailou cannot see? Of course NOT! He's lucid at the moment and a conscious Zhang Haixia doesn't have any killing desire. So Haixia probably just wanted to take care of Hailou himself for a little bit longer, he's at least aware he doesn't have a lot of time or probably that would be the last time, so he take advantage of Hailou's lack of vision to take a moment gazing at his Hailou without restraint and Hailou would not question him because Hailou can't see. He decided to go and get a changing clothes first, help Hailou change, only then he would cure Hailo's eyes. But the moment he went away, the parasite take over forcefully and went on a killing spree to ruin Haixia's plans. After Haixia's consciousness comes back to him, the killings already done, he becomes heartbroken and guilty. Helpless, he decided to follow what the parasite wanted, that's why he said all hurtful things to Hailou after this, as if all the evil intentions was his while in fact it wasn't. But he cannot control it, his body is not even his most of the time. Fate truly played an absurd joke on them😭
