@theweirdbookgirll: I’ve put together a few book recommendations based on books you may have already read. I’ve tried to choose books that explore themes such as female rage, identity, quiet reflection, gender, and women who challenge social expectations. I hope you find something here that you’ll enjoy! Have you got any recommendations based on any of these books? I’d love to know! #BookTok #BookRecommendations #literaryfiction #youneedtoreadthese #bookstagram
Emperor of Gladness was my favourite book this year. I keep thinking about the characters and wondering if they are ok.

I was already considering a month in the country for my next read but I think I’m convinced now

If you liked the small-town summer of personal growth in 1920s vibe of A Month in the Country and don’t mind books that are more atmospheric than plot-driven, you might also like Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury, I’ve read this after A Month in the Country and I think these two have great synergy together :)
