For years, I thought the answer was more control. More calorie counting. More food rules. More exercise. More discipline. I convinced myself that if I could just control my body enough, I’d finally feel confident. But the more I controlled it, the more disconnected I became. Food wasn’t just food anymore - it was something to earn, analyse and constantly think about. Exercise became a way to “make up for” eating instead of something I genuinely enjoyed. Everything changed when I stopped asking, “How can I control my body?” and started asking, “How can I reconnect with it?” That shift didn’t just change the way I ate. It changed the way I lived. Today, I still love nourishing my body. I still love movement. I still care about my health. But those things no longer come from fear or control - they come from trust. That’s exactly why I created Return to Body. Not to teach women another way to control themselves, but to help them reconnect with the body that already knows what it needs.
