I used to waitress & the worst ones were always the ones who'd mention how they know how it is cause they do ir did it. They also never tip so they truly don't know otherwise they would.

I have worked in customer service for 25 years. 20 of those was an event ticketing you get screamed at unmercifully in event ticketing if anything I might bond with somebody over the stupidity of customers I’m not asking for anything free.

Personally, I don’t mind if people ask for stuff. Ask away! You never know! Go ahead and shoot your shot. But there is a major difference between asking and expecting. A simple “no” (once!) should be the end of that conversation…
