@drdavidabbasi: Not all MRIs are created equal — and it can completely change your diagnosis. 🧲 MRI quality depends on several factors: the strength of the magnet (measured in Tesla), the resolution of the imaging, how still the patient stays during the scan, and even the specific protocol used for the body part being examined. A low-quality or outdated scan can miss subtle tears, small fractures, or early-stage damage that a high-resolution scan would catch immediately. This matters because treatment decisions are built on what we can actually see. A blurry or low-field MRI might show "nothing wrong," when in reality, the imaging simply wasn't strong enough to detect the problem. That can lead to missed diagnoses, delayed treatment, or unnecessary additional testing. Higher field strength scanners (like 1.5T or 3T) generally produce clearer, more detailed images, especially for soft tissue, ligaments, and cartilage — the areas most often missed on lower-quality imaging. Bottom line: where you get imaged matters just as much as getting imaged at all. 🩻 ✅Follow @drdavidabbasi for More Daily Medical Content & Health Tips! 📍Schedule a consultation in Delray Beach!
