But here are some common tools pros use to determine if a stock offers good value. 1) Is revenue growing at least 10% a year? 2) Is the P/E ratio under 25? 3) Is the PEG ratio below 2? 4) Has ROE averaged more than 5% in the last 5 years? 5) Is the quick ratio above 1.5? If a stock passes all five of those checks, it might be worth digging deeper! Remember, though, real research takes more than 30 seconds!
