Rankings with Raftyn: Attic edition Painted wood floors: 10/10 I get so many negative comments when I share we painted these floors but mostly from people who don’t know the full project. These floors were in HORRIBLE condition and were not original floors they were just planks of wood that contained huge gaps between boards, large splinters, and full missing pieces we had to fill with plywood. So in the end we chose to seal everything up and paint them. The black color I chose I will give a 7/10 just because if I was doing it today I would have maybe chose a blue or a green. Table with chairs 10/10 but current execution 1/10. I plan to find another antique round table and will build bench seating. Adding wood to the walls and ceiling 10/10 installing it 0/10. We used 16’ boards of carsiding we brought up through one of the windows. Because nothing was straight and the boards are tongue and groove it was SO labor intensive to get the boards together but worth it! Also not rated in the video was the spray foam insulation which we will give a 10/10 we used to have frost on the ceiling and now everything is properly insulated. We also have a mini split the heats and cools this. Twin beds 8/10 we used them a bunch right when we finished the attic as our kids were younger and doing more sleepovers. We don’t have a guest room at the moment so when we do have guests they can stay up here so that does work out well. LoveSac Sactional I give a few scores. We needed a modular sofa because the entrance to the attic is SO tight you can barely fit normal furniture up here so for that I give it a 10/10. I will also give the comfort, quality, customization, and ability to wash the cushion covers a 10/10. If getting the sofa up the stairs wasn’t an issue and I could choose ANY sofa I wouldn’t choose it so for that I give it a 6/10. Cushion fabric: Beachwood Rained Chenille Frame TV 10/10 I think they are genius and I love them. We have 3 and I want another one for our bedroom. Overall attic project 1 million/10 we added like 600 sq/ft of usable space to our home! Such a great use of space for our family.
