But seriously, whyyyyyy 😩😂 If you are a content creator, do you relate to this? lol Let’s face it—horizontal videos don’t work on social media anymore–at least for Reels, Tik Toks and YouTube Shorts. Even for photos too though! 😅 Did you know VERTICAL photos and videos are proven to get better engagement? That’s because they take up more SPACE on your screen when you’re scrolling, making someone more likely to watch your video. 🤓 Does this mean you should never shoot horizontally? NO. There is definitely a time and place where horizontal photos and videos are better or preferred. But if you are mostly creating short-form videos for social media, vertical is the way to go. My best tip? Shoot BOTH. For example, depending on what we are doing on our adventures, we will bring a GoPro and use that for horizontal content and then use my iPhone for vertical content. OR I will shoot both with my iPhone. I especially do this for photos. I will take both a vertical AND horizontal photo (depending on the subjects, landscape or background). Another tip if you shoot a lot of horizontal footage is to edit it in the app, InShot using the “Crop” feature. This works best with footage where the subject(s) aren’t too close to the camera. I do this all the time, especially with drone videos! 🙌🏼 How do you shoot your content? . . . . . . . . #travelinfluencer #getpaidtotravel #travelbloggerlife #travelpreneur #thattravelblog #influencertips #travelcreatives #creativeentrepreneur #familytravelblogger #contentcreationtips #travelbloggeres #tblogger #travelforfree #contentcreatortips #travelbloggers #paidtotravel #influencercoach #contenttips #creatortips #creativeentreprenuer
