It was a good movie however I did not like the lack of presence from the gods in comparison to the book and no olive tree the moment odysseus proved himself to Penelope with that tree was so powerful I hate how they removed it

This film is pretty impressive yes. But that doesn’t make it any more “realistic” as you’re saying. Just because there are very specific things done in the creation of the film doesn’t mean anything for the movie itself.

I just don’t like how the movie takes out so many key events of the original story. Such as Odysseus dropping the baby off the wall, Telemachus fighting Antonius, Odysseus tricking the cyclops, Odysseus tricking the siren, and even Odysseus stabbing posideon. Along with the whole wind bag. I loved the set and the story was cool, but they missed a lot of the key elements that make the odyssey what it is
