I work in a K-12 school that only goes four days per week so all of our days during the year are on Fridays. We have a week before kids start, 2 PD days and 2 work in classroom days. We have a teacher work day at the end of each quarter for grades plus the day back from Christmas break is a work day. We have three other in-service days in September, October, and April. 2 Evening conferences after 1st and 3rd quarter and open house first week.

The week before students’ first day of school (Monday before Labor Day), teachers have 3 in service/PD days, and most of them are NOT working in your classroom. Then we have 4 days with students and then 2 days off (Friday before Labor Day and Labor Day itself). We have a mix of half day PDs and full days/parent teacher conferences.

I teach online, we start as teachers August 10th, with meetings two times a week. The rest of the time is spent calling students, setting up the classroom online, etc. We meet once in person in August, and we have PD once a month on Wednesday

We have two days before we have students. But the week prior to that, we usually have one to two days of some type of training that we end up doing.
