Crying is underrated. Getting to watch something that’s so good your eyes start watering is truly a top tier human experience

Odysseus calling Telechamus his beautiful and worthy son…yeah, I’m tearing up just remembering it.

Movies and music often make me cry too. Odyssey was no exception. I found myself relating to Telemachus, Sinon and even the reclusive cyclops crying for his father Poseidon. 🖤😭

Whatever success may look like to you…..you’ve succeeded in being one of favorite reviewers. Your take is reasonable and as someone who obviously loves what you’re talking about. Well done

I admit that some moments made my heart break especially the sacking of the Troy scene. It's not a perfect movie but i can't stop thinking about it.The whole cast had a solid performance.I hardly noticed 3 hours passing🥹🥹

Real men are emotional. I also teared up in some scenes. You don’t need to defend this position. I’m sorry you even felt you had to.

i’ve seen it twice and both times odysseus recalling the sacking of troy to penelope has made me weep. the weight of his guilt and the magnitude of the wrong doings he’s remembering are so visceral.

As an Albanian, I was in tears every time the iso-polyphony came on. It’s a centuries-old choral tradition where multiple voices weave together around a sustained drone. Please, let’s not turn this into a Greek vs. Albanian debate, for thr iso-polyphony part, composer Ludwig Göransson spent a week in southern Albania recording with Vëndim Kapaj in Vlorë.

I cried also about being one of tens of billions of people who’ve been moved by this story. And to have the good fortune to be alive now to see this version.

I cried when Odysseus told Telemachus he was proud. I recently lost my father and idk that scene was like an arrow to the heart. Not in a bad way. But like you said, I just felt so profoundly moved by the film on many different levels
