A 5% rate on a $400,000 mortgage for a $200,000 house is why people aren’t buying. Same reason the $100,000 trucks are sitting on the dealer lots. People aren’t buying something that is so grossly overpriced.

my wife and I have 800+ credit score, the house we are looking at and everything 6.99% rate to 7.1 right now . can't even lock it down because it's not stable at all. Do not buy a house im telling you right now. if you do don't worry about your credit score obviously it doesn't matter

It’s to the point now that interest rates only help current home owners. Piss off the boomers and kill home values by around 20%. Seriously young people under 30 are still unable to afford a house.
