For everyone wondering, the answer is Yes. The movie is a musical that jumps between live film and fully animated. In the end Odysseus whispers “Encanto”, and the bow murders everyone in the room for him. Then the house is happy again.

Why is there so much arguing in the comments. The odyssey is an incredibly old and highly retold story, it can fit into a web musical or a prestige film or a comedic cartoon et cetera et cetera. The tone, themes, and mediums this story has been retold in across history are uncountable and it lends itself fairly well to this. It can be Odyssey 2026 and also Epic the musical, one doesn't have to destroy the other and neither are closer to the original.

The way all the hate is because the songs were overused on tiktok (exactly how every other show/movie/series starts to get hated on) people don't dislike the music, they got tired of listening to it, which is fair, but you can't say the songs are not well made and have incredible vocalists, there's a reason it went viral
