Don’t get me wrong Notre Dame schedule isn’t hard but it definitely not the easiest we still face 3-4 ranked teams a year plus notre dame did join a conference for one year and im not 100% sure but I think they went undefeated in the regular season but then got our butt kicked in the playoff game

rule idea: For teams not in a conference to be eligible for CFP they must have a Top 20 or 30 strength of schedule or something like that to keep the scheduling fair

Notre dames not in a conference bc of anti Catholic discrimination, it’s a tradition they should continue to honor. That being said they shouldn’t cry about missing the playoff if they lose the only two real games on their schedule

idk if u realize, Notre Dame plays 6 acc teams a year, they don’t chose those 6, they play miami and byu this year, and they play msu and wisconsin, that right there is 10 power 4 games, and they play navy which is usually somewhat decent, tougher schedule than half of the acc and sec btw,

been a whole nd fan my whole life, notre dame has literally been rejected by multiple conferences when trying to join, but tbh why would we join a conference when we get to keep all of the bonus money from playoffs for ourselves
