My son was attacked by a dog a few years ago badly. A lot of people don’t know it’s multiple shots at different times you have to get. You have to go back like 3-4 times can’t remember each week if I remember correctly and get shots. It’s rounds of them! It’s awful!

There’s a lady on here that had such a bad reaction to the shot that she spent 90 days in the hospital. I would not get them unless the animal was confirmed to have rabies. 99% of the time this is not the case. The health dept no longer even tests animals brains.

FYI the first injection is called rabies immunoglobulin and it’s injected into the wound/close to the wound. Then you get 4 rounds of the rabies vaccine. They usually administer them in alternating muscles. I went through this procedure after being bitten by a rabid cat.
