@madscientistofmuscle: Two Bar Incline Press "Machine"... this is a very effective setup especially for home gym trainers with limited space (obviously if you train in a busy gym, the setup might be prohibitive). It basically creates a simple "bottom start" machine out of a couple of bars. It's a machine with relatively freely-moving "arms" that don't fully lock your joints into position but also move up and back in an effective pressing arc for the upper chest fibers. The weight is well-stabilized so you can focus on upper chest activation and the bar orientation creates a neutral grip which can be easier on the shoulders. To do this one, you'll need an incline bench, two bars and a rack. Set the bench outside the rack with the two bars set on the rails. One end is set high with the inner collar hooked over the rails and the other set lower so that the ends of the bars are down beside your chest. You may need to adjust the bench position a bit but once you have it set, you're good to go. I've got a 45 lb plate on each of the top ends to counterbalance and lock in the weight. Then I've got two 25 lb plates on the bottom ends for resistance (along with the weight of the bar). It doesn't translate directly into free weight because of the leverages involved. Don't use bigger plates than 25's otherwise they'll be physically too large and you'll have to keep them further out so they don't contact your head. You want to be able to keep the arms in fairly close at the bottom for a good pressing angle. ** IMPORTANT! When loading and unloading the bottom ends of the bars, the plates may slide, so be aware they could slide off if you don't keep them from doing so. Then all you have to do is press. You can do these bottom start by releasing tension at the bottom of every rep, or you can keep the bars off the bottom rail and keep the tension on. --- Want to build your chest FAST? Smart but you’re not getting fatigued the blood is leaving the arm muscles making the set feel heavy i suggest do a number of reps or holds and reset 💯

If you swap it around and move the bar this way, and let the plate rest on the inside instead of outside you would get a descending resistance profile instead of ascending 🙂

This allows you to go in an alignment that’s most comfortable to your body instead of being restricted to an fixated path that sometimes feel uncomfy at certain positions
