cause doom didn't have a buildup in previous films like thanos thanos was teased since the very begining with the infinity stones getting mentioned all the time and thanos being teased on age of ultron, they tried doing the same with kang but they cancelled Kang and replaced him with doom since they fired Jonathan majors they had almost and no time, it's a last minute movie

Well Doom never had any buildup, thanos had 10 years of us expecting that shii, doom was shoehorned into the MCU as the big bad to bring back fans I guess

The reason is because Infinity War and Endgame were the end of the Infinity Saga
